Hi welcome to Pesthut, the number one Home remedies blog.

We are talking today about some warnings your eyes may be sending you and how to prevent them. Enjoy your time with me

Did you know that your eyes can tell a lot about your health? Vision is a constant part in our conscious life, and we become so used to it functioning normally that irregularities in the eyes spark serious concern of onset health problems.

There are some visual symptoms that are apparent in either the way your eyes function or their overall appearance – some more obvious than others. They could be useful indicators that help prevent the worsening of a health condition.

Pay special attention to the area around your eyes – If you have noticed raised yellow patches over your upper or lower eyelids, near the inner part of the eye, you might want to consider investigating this further as this might be an early sign of heart disease.

Health Warnings Your Eyes May Be Sending

1 Hanging Eyelids

This symptom, also called ptosis, includes the irregular drooping of eyelids. It is a typical sign of old age but in some instances it might foreshadow myasthenia gravis, a disease that affects the immune system. It may also indicate a brain tumor.

2. Differed Eye Color

Heterochromia iridis is the condition that creates different colored eyes on the same person and is commonly passed on genetically. It can also suggest the possibility of inflammation, glaucoma, and neurofibromatosis which is s a genetic disorder that disturbs cell growth in the nervous system.

3. Irregular Pupils

The pupils are generally identical in appearance and reaction to light. When the size of them is different or if they react in a different way to light it could indicate multiple sclerosis, stroke, a tumor, and syphilis.

4. Blurry Vision

If your vision is unclear and clouded, even with attempted treatment, it may be a symptom of more serious health issues. Increased pressure in the eyes and inflammation typically cause this symptom. If sight is lost completely in one eye it’s a clear indicator of a serious problem such as stroke, a sudden macular degeneration or a type of glaucoma.

5. Protruding Eyes

This symptom is also a common genetic inheritance but may also signal thyroid issues. Thyroid disease causes a hormone imbalance that sequentially swells tissue near the eye, giving it a protruding appearance. When the blood vessels inside of the eyes translucent layer (conjunctiva) burst, you’ll notice a small amount of blood clouding the eye. It can happen when the eye is struck by an object but in many instances the source is difficult to pinpoint. Some medical professionals believe it to be a sign of platelet disorder or sever high blood pressure.

If you suffer from bloodshot eyes and you are sure that this is not a result of a health issue then you can uses natural remedies to treat this condition. Use goldenseal as a compress on the eyes. It contains berberine, which is known to help constrict the blood vessels, helping to get rid of bloodshot eyes. Kick Bad Habits – Tobacco use, particularly smoking, is bad for your health in many different ways. It directly affects the optic nerves and can lead to cataracts and several other eye diseases. Alcohol abuse is also commonly contributed to blindness and degeneration of the eyes.

Protect Your Eyes – Exposure to the Sun’s UV rays might result in a nice tan – but it can also be a serious threat to your vision. To avoid conditions like macular degeneration, avoid looking directly at the sun and wear polarized glasses on a sunny day. Protective goggles should also be considered with dangerous works and contact sports.

Less Time Around Screens – It’s difficult to stay away from screens in our developed society – heck, you’re looking at one as we speak! Normal use of computers and television is fine, but small breaks during your free time can take a lot of stress off the eyes.

Don’t Touch! – It may be tempting to rub and itch your eyes when they are irritated or you feel tired, but try your best to resist. This can transfer dirt and germs into your eye and irritate the inner parts of it.

Visit Your Physician – Many conditions related to eye health are difficult to detect during their early stages. The best way to overcome this problem is with regular consultation with a medical professional. Eye doctors know exactly what to look for during a checkup and can give you useful tips for healthy eyes.

Without vision, it would be hard for us to conceptualize the beauty of life. Making small changes and remaining vigilant of symptoms now will ensure the overall health and longevity of your eyes.
